In the 1700s England had 13 Colonies. These colonies were broken into 3 regions. All the people came from Spain, France, England, and Netherlands. All of the colonies had different democracies. And the first 13 colonies were known as the United States.
The New England was the top of the 3 regions. They were made of other people in Europe but they didn´t have lots of them. They also copy the British styles. They had lots of trade and economic activities in their colonies. It included New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Rhode Island, Connecticut.
In the Middle Colonies was called the¨Bread Basket¨ because they farmed lots of wheat. The Middle Colonies were known for European immigrants because there was a lot of immigrants. The Middle Colonies were made of Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and New Jersey.
In the Southern Colonies 40% of the population were enslaved African Americans. They had huge farms of cotton in their colony. In the Southern Colonies they had fertile soil and hilly coastal plains. They were of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
After all of that the people there thought of themselves as British Citizens. The people went to the colonies for different reasons. They all made different colonies because they wanted to make different things.
